| Hello Writers and Artists, Here at Das Superpaper we pride ourselves on being the look-book for the emerging & contemporary art world – accessible, free and national. We have been running for 18 months now and are currently producing our 13th issue. I'm writing to tell you about the 14th Issue of Das Superpaper which is all about writing and profiling the incredible work of emerging and established contemporary arts writers. It is called The Critical Issue and will be jam packed with the new voices of the arts media, such as yourselves! We have some big meaty articles and reviews of art events happening globally but what we also want is some shorter reviews of shows happening in Australia, the stuff that is happening closer to home and that are part of your world. Ideally this will include shows happening at artist run spaces and in unconventional places. While we focus on the visual arts, we love cross disciplinary works (doesn't everyone?!) so we are happy to cover anything with a visual arts focus - whatever shape or form (performance, new media, sound, installation, painting, etching, relational works etc). We are looking for some shorter reviews/critiques/responses between 250-500 words max from emerging or established arts writers about a show you have seen in the last 12 months. The due date for these articles is Wednesday 20th July. However, prior to the 20th July you must email me a short description of yourself and the show you would like to cover. The publication will be distributed nationally as well as having an online presence. This is an open call-out and all writers are warmly welcomed to apply. For those of you who have written for us before, we would love to have you back and for those unfamiliar with our work please look at at our website www.dassuperpaper.com or feel free to send me an email with any questions you might have.
